Artisan Electronics Nominated for 2021 Best Places to Work in Indiana

Artisan Electronics was nominated in the small business category for the 2021 Best Places to Work in Indiana award, presented by the Indiana Chamber of Commerce.

Artisan joins a list of 125 companies to earn the recognition from across Indiana. Nominees will be honored at an awards ceremony open to the public on May 6th. The Indiana Chamber of Commerce will reveal  in the future whether the awards will be in-person, online or hybrid.

This is Artisan Electronics’ third nomination in the last three years. In 2019, Artisan received runner-up for first place. 

“We have loved being a part of this process so far every year in the past, and we feel very special to be honored with it once again,” said Greg Sapp, vice president of Artisan Electronics.

This year’s award ceremony will be sponsored by Ivy Tech Community College. In addition to recognition at the ceremony, first place winners of the Best Places to Work in Indiana award will be awarded with features in BizVoice magazine and Inside INdiana Business with Gerry Dick.

“All the employers honored should be especially proud to be on the list this year,” said Kevin Brinegar, Indiana Chamber President and CEO, in a recent interview with WBIW.

“With the extreme and unexpected challenges of 2020, we were delighted to see the program participation level stay relatively flat and that so many Hoosier companies responded to the pandemic in a way that their employees greatly appreciated,” said Brinegar.

The Best Places to Work in Indiana awards first began in 2006 in conjunction with the Best Companies Group. The Best Companies group, which has a presence in 25 other states, uses employee reports to determine the Best Places to Work in Indiana winners. 

Participating companies fall into four categories based on size: small (15-74 employees), medium (75-249 employees), large (250-999 employees) and major companies (over 1,000 employees). Best Places to Work allows participants from out-of-state if at least 15 employees are located in Indiana.

This is Artisan’s second award nomination this year. In February, Artisan was recognized as a 2021 Best Employer in Indiana nominee at the Indiana IMPACT awards presented by the Indiana INTERNnet. Former Artisan intern Joy Burton was recognized as a Best Intern nominee.
